In the Fall of 2018 I was tasked to develop a branded publication about a passion of mine. Futbol, or Soccer to most in the US.
Twenty Six is a collection of photo essays, beautiful illustrations, and first hand accounts of what it’s like being a professional in Europe.

The Original Crazy Gang: Wimbledon F.C.
The Crazy Gang is a nickname coined by the English media in reference to the Wimbledon F.C. teams of the 1980s and '90s. The name, originally that of a well known group of British comedy entertainers popular in the late 1930s, became commonly associated with Wimbledon as a result of the often cheeky and boisterously macho behaviour of their players, who were in the habit of playing frequent and outrageous practical jokes on each other and on the club's managers Dave Bassett, Bobby Gould and Joe Kinnear, as well as many of their players' highly aggressive, physical style of play and reputation for a lack of discipline on the pitch.
Podolski’s Last Dance
In the summer 2017, Vissel Kobe announced the signing of former German international Lukas Podolski. He played his first match for Vissel Kobe and scored two goals in a 3–1 win over Omiya Ardija in the J1 League. On 11 August 2018, he assisted Andrés Iniesta's first goal in the J1 League in a 2–1 win over Jubilo Iwata.
On 1 January 2020, Podolski won his first trophy in Japan, starting in Vissel Kobe's 2–0 victory over Kashima Antlers in the final of the 2019 Emperor's Cup;[62] it was also the club's first ever major trophy.

Trent Alexander Arnold Player Profile
Thrusted into the first-team out necessity, Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold has proven to be one of the world’s best right backs.
He made his senior debut in 2016, at age 18, and played in back-to-back UEFA Champions League finals in 2018 and 2019, winning the latter, and being named in the Champions League Squad of the Season. These appearances made Alexander-Arnold the youngest player to start in consecutive finals in the competition. In the same year, he won the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup.

WHY #26?
I named this project “Twenty Six Magazine” simply because 26 was my first soccer number! I remember being new to the sport and not knowing that certain numbers are tied to specific numbers. I originally wanted the 27 shirt, but settled for 26 after when 27 was taken.
